I am here asking for prayers for my husband, myself, and our family. Randy had always been healthy and, like a lot of men, felt there was no need to see a doctor because he wasn’t sick—until he was. We went to the walk-in clinic for what we thought was a bad chest cold at most. We were so wrong. Within a 24-hour period, diagnosis after diagnosis started pouring in: pneumonia, COPD, and then, without warning, stage 4 metastatic lung cancer that’s spread to his pancreas. We were told he has 4-6 weeks to live if he left the hospital before a complete cycle of the most aggressive combination of chemotherapy drugs for the most aggressive type of cancer. Our lives have been turned upside down, inside out, and any which negative way possibly imaginable.
I’m here pleading for help to relocate closer to the cancer center and local hospital to give my husband the best possible chance to fight this as long as he possibly can. Not just for him and I, but for our children and our grandchildren. Thank you all for your continued prayers and any support you may be able to contribute to this cause. We pray that you and your family never have to face this situation, especially not alone!
