Hi, my name is Vicki Davis, and I'm working with Barb Deylane, and we are creating this fundraiser on behave of Randy "Dragon" Sommers's Big Daddy's Family. Randy "Dragon" Sommers was in a horrific motorcycle accident on April 12. He has sustained extensive injuries and is looking at a long road to recovery. His injuries are too include fractures to his upper cervical and lower thoracic. His spinal cord is intact, which is a good thing. Currently, he is paralyzed from his chest down. He has undergone two surgeries to help stabilize his neck and back. He is in the ICU at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. At this time, it's hard to say what his prognosis will be or how long his road to recovery will take. Randy "Dragon" exemplifies what it means to serve his country. He served over ten years in the Army Special Forces. Upon retirement, he went into law enforcement and served more than a decade in two local communities, Kitty Hawk, NC and Manteo, NC. After retirement from law, Randy continued his service to his country by becoming an Independent Contractor and deploying for over twelve years on the Condor program with NSD (formerly known as Blackwater). For the past few years working as Range Control for Constellis. LLC in Moyock, NC. Randy "Dragon" truly loved cruising the roads in his off time. He's a warm-hearted man, funny, caring and loved by all. As you can understand, his medical and rehabilitation costs will be a financial burden he will incur for quite some time, and the possibility of renovations to his house to support a possible wheelchair life. We are trying to raise any financial assistance to assist in his recovery. We also would appreciate any positive thoughts and well wishes for his long convalescence.
