Help Randi Heal
Donation protected

In February of this year just before the rest of the world shut down, Randi went into the hospital for pain that she was told was a broken rib. Then COVID happened and no doctor would see her in person for a follow-up. She was only allowed to have virtual appointments and thus not allowing for a comprehensive exam (or proper diagnosis). The doctors told her bed rest was her best option so that’s what she did. Randi continued to work from home on bed rest for the next five months.
After a visit to the ER from an excruciating amount of pain, tests and a biopsy of a mass on her bone confirmed a form of bone cancer. The current treatment plan is radiation with the additional need for a port for regular infusions. Because Randi was born with a rare genetic blood disorder, it will be much harder for her body to fight the cancer and at the same time maintain sufficient blood levels so the port will allow for easier iron/blood infusions.
Even with everything going on, Randi still likes to make everyone else laugh. “See even cancer wants to hang out with me because I’m so fun.” That’s for sure, Randi. You absolutely are the most fun!
Randi’s nieces and nephews are helping to raise money to support her treatment. These funds will allow her to focus on her healing and less on what comes next.
