Hello, my name is Randall Wegener. I am rewriting this GoFundMe page to update you about my current condition. The last page was focused on heart diagnosis journey. My reason for needing this GoFundMe page is to help with medical bills, acupuncture clinic’s monthly expenses, and my basic family expenses. Also, insurance has denied some of the tests that have already been completed. Medical bill expenses continue to increase as I continue to require more tests and doctor visits. I have worked irregularly over the last two years since my first TIA. This year I have worked very little. Because of this, my financial reserves have been drained. Collection agencies have started to call. We also rescue animals, which is an additional expense.

The current update on the heart is the valves leak, the center wall is not rigid and it flaps. There is also a small hole in the center wall which creates bubbles occasionally that cause TIAs (Transient Ischemic Attack, like mini-stroke symptoms). There is also plaque building up in arteries due to genetics. The cardiologist is just watching to see how my symptoms progress.  My most recent TIA took place within the last week. The symptoms can last from one day to over a week. Symptoms usually are slurred speech, drooping and weakness of muscles on my left side starting from my face down to my toes, difficulty eating and drinking, walking, standing and a foggy mind.

I recently took some time off of work to heal my heart and body.  Two weeks into the time off my wife broke her arm. I was required to step up to help. My body has continued to decline. I continue to lose weight due to elevated pain level and nausea. I have lost approximately 40 pounds in the last 2 years, more than 20 pounds since the beginning of March of this year. Due to lack of activity from heart issues and back pain, my muscles have severely atrophied over my whole body. This causes all movements to be more difficult.

My back pain has become more predominant again recently.  My lumbar spine has 3 herniated and degenerated discs, stenosis, and a lot of soft tissue damage from a car accident I had at the age of 19 (I lost all use from my waist down and had to learn how to walk again at that time).  There is a hemangioma on my upper thoracic spine. My cervical spine has 2 herniated degenerated discs and central canal narrowing. Activity increases pain. I do not take any pharmaceuticals for pain or any other reasons. I depend on herbs, supplements, nutritional changes, yoga, and meditation. Earlier this month I experienced a period of time when I lost feeling and muscle movement of both legs. That caused me to spend several days in bed.

I have recently tried to return to my clinic to see a few patients. After each time I have had to take time off to recover.
