Help Ramzy's Family Leave Gaza

My name is Ramzy and I am reaching out on behalf of my 12 immediate family members in Gaza. I'm the oldest son and I live and work in Germany as a self-taught Software Engineer.

Ramzy and his wife Yasmine
Ever since I moved abroad 8 years ago, I have been responsible for my parents and every month I've been sending them money for their living expenses. When other expenses arose, such as medical costs, I was also there to support them. My 3 siblings in Gaza were all employed before the war but living paycheck to paycheck.
Sadly, their future is incredibly uncertain yet, I know their resilience will lead them to restart their life. The scale of the support needed to get them safely out to restart their life is much beyond my ability. This is where I seek support from empathic people, like yourself.
My parents, the foundation of our family, have endured more than any parent should. For most of my dad’s working life, he worked 7 days a week for 12 hours a day to put food on the table. His jobs included being a taxi driver and warehouse worker— he took any job he could. He made it his mission to make sure ALL his children received an education to have a better life. My sister, Maha, and brother Ahmed both have bachelor's degrees. My two brothers and I all have 2-year vocational degrees. My dad found creative ways like scholarships and other support to get the school fees covered. His determination doesn’t go unnoticed.

My Dad
My mom raised, fed, bathed, and worked tirelessly for her five children. Only to enter her years as a Grandma to her five grandchildren and experience incredible difficulty– including not knowing when their next meal would be.

My Mom

Mohammed, my brother, is a hardworking legal secretary. He is a caring husband to Noor and a father to his son, Anas. He has always had big dreams to see the world outside of Gaza.

Ahmed, my youngest brother, is a diligent accountant. He paid his way through university and was a loyal employee of a popular clothing store (now in rubble). Together with his wife Lina, and their young son Juju, they dream of a life filled with peace and stability to raise their child.

My sister, Maha, is a compassionate medical lab technician and phlebotomist, who once worked at a hospital. The war left her a widow since her husband was killed in December 2023. She is left to support and raise her three beautiful daughters - Hala, Dana, and Luji.

Dana, 7 yrs old
Luji, 3 yrs old
Every day, I carry the weight of their struggles and the dream to reunite with them in a safer environment. These funds help my family relocate to Egypt where fear and danger are not part of their daily lives. A place where my young nephews and nieces can grow up without the sound of bombs and can envision a future filled with possibilities.
Your donation will directly contribute to securing their safe passage, covering essential needs during their journey, and assisting in their living conditions.
The fund will be used to help my 12 closest family members settle in Egypt: Mom, Dad, Ahmed and his wife and son, Mohammed and his wife and son, and my sister and her 3 daughters.
We need to raise $7000 to be paid to the Egyptian authorities to coordinate their entry into Egypt. For 12 family members, this is a total of $84,000.
$16,000 for accommodation for two months, food for two months, transportation, Visa fees, etc.
Here's an article from The Guardian explaining the situation with the Egyptians
My family is a story of hard-working Gazans who lived each day to provide for their family and now, I ask for your contribution in helping them reach a safer place to be able to provide for their family again.
Thank you,
Ramzy
