Help Ramsi Walk Again!

Donation protected
Hi, I’m Ramsi!

I’ve always been a happy pup, living my best life with my favorite humans who saved me from a scary kennel back in 2020. (They even changed my name from “Jack Jack” to something cooler—Ramsi!) I’m five years old now and love my walks, snuggles, and all the treats I can get.

But last week, something unexpected happened.

Thursday night, my humans noticed I was moving a little slower than usual. They thought my tummy was upset. By Friday, I felt worse, and after a trip to the vet, I got some meds and rest instructions. But as the night went on, I couldn’t move my legs at all. My humans were so worried they rushed me to the ER. That’s when we learned I have IVDD (a spinal condition) and needed emergency surgery to have a chance at walking again.

The vet told my family my odds weren’t great—at first, they said less than 50%—and they were so heartbroken, they almost decided to let me go. But when I heard them crying, I started crying too. I didn’t want to say goodbye! Then, something amazing happened: I showed signs that I could still feel my toes. That meant my chances of recovery went up to 80%!

Even though the surgery cost $14,000 (ouch), my humans decided I was worth it. They put the cost on their credit cards because they love me so much and knew I had a good chance to recover.

I had surgery on December 7th, and it was a success! The doctors fixed two herniated discs and even worked on some others to make sure I’d be okay. By December 8th, I was already standing with a little help! They said my odds of walking again are now nearly 100%!

It’s going to be a long road to recovery with lots of physical therapy ahead. My humans are working hard to make sure I get the best care, but the costs are piling up. That’s why we’re asking for your help.

If you can donate to my GoFundMe, it would mean the world to me (and my humans). Every little bit helps! If we raise more than we need for my surgery, the extra funds will go toward my rehab sessions so I can run, jump, and play like I used to.

Thank you for being part of my journey to walk again. I can’t wait to chase squirrels and go on adventures with my family soon.

Love, Ramsi ❤️
