Help Rimsha and her family recover from GBS

In January 2022, Rimsha Jan contracted COVID-19. Shortly after her recovery from COVID, she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), a rare disorder where the body's immune system damages nerves. Her paralysis got so bad she had to be admitted to the ICU in late February, where she underwent several Intravenous immunoglobulins or IVIg treatments and is currently undergoing plasma exchange treatment.

 

Rimsha's husband Jawaad, the family's sole provider, had to take unpaid family leave from his job to care for Rimsha and their two-year-old daughter Iman. Rimsha's illness has caused tremendous psychological and financial stress to the whole family. 

 

I am putting this campaign together to help pay for the medical expenses and help cover some of the house expenses while Jawaad is on leave from work. Rimsha, still in the ICU, has a long way to get back to any form of normal.
