Help for Ramsey- silly little cat

Ramsey is now one week post-op! We had a little check up yesterday as he had some issue around his surgical site and hopefully we think it’s just a reaction to his stitches and he had started on some anti-inflammatory medication to see if that helps!

i wanted to thank everyone who has supported Ramsey so far.

We are current at £2,900 as insurance has cleared a small part if the original £4000.

Update – 25/06: Ramsey is Home!

Some good news at last – Ramsey is now home safe after undergoing emergency surgery yesterday. The vets at Kelperland were absolutely amazing and managed to work some serious magic.

They removed a piece of plastic and a free-roaming stone that were causing the blockage in his abdomen. I’m so relieved to say he’s now recovering well – although he’s not impressed about having to wear a cone for the next week!

Even better, the total cost of his care has now been revised to £4,000 instead of the original £7,000, which is a huge relief. My insurance is still only covering £1,000 of this, so I’m continuing to fundraise to cover the remainder.

Ramsey has been seriously unwell over the past few days, with ongoing vomiting and refusing to eat. He was first seen by the vets and given anti-sickness medication along with specialist food, but unfortunately, his condition didn’t improve.

Today (24th June), he was urgently seen again. After blood tests, X-rays, and an ultrasound, the vets discovered a blockage in his abdomen. This afternoon, Ramsey has been taken in for emergency exploratory surgery to identify and remove the obstruction.

So far, the total cost has reached £7,000, with my insurance only able to cover £1,000 of that. As a children’s nurse, I’m doing everything I can to manage the cost, but I now urgently need help to give Ramsey the care he deserves.
