Help Ramita Mahat Fight Stage 3 Breast Cancer

Dear Friends and Family,

My name is Uma Mahat, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my beloved sister, Ramita Mahat. At just 34 years old, Ramita has been facing an incredibly challenging battle. She was diagnosed with Stage 3 (Class C) triple-negative breast cancer on March 20th, 2024. This diagnosis has been a devastating blow to our family, and Ramita’s fight has only just begun.

Ramita is not just my sister; she is a dedicated caregiver to our 74-year-old single parent and was pursuing her education when this illness struck. Her world was turned upside down when she learned of her cancer diagnosis, and she was admitted to the Nepal Cancer Hospital in Lalitpur. Since then, she has undergone 17 grueling chemotherapy sessions, each one more exhausting than the last. These treatments have drained our family’s finances, and we are now facing the harsh reality that we cannot afford the upcoming surgeries and additional treatments Ramita desperately needs.

The cost of her future medical care is overwhelming, and our family is struggling to make ends meet. We are reaching out to our community, friends, and relatives for financial assistance to help cover the costs of her surgeries and continued treatment. Ramita’s strength and spirit are unwavering, but she needs our support to continue this fight.
