Sweetest cat, Rami needs help with vet costs!

Hi, my name is Patty and I am humbly asking for help for my sweet kitty Rami. He is the sweetest, funniest most loving cat I have ever had. He was born to a feral mom and I adopted him with his sister when they were just 8 weeks old. He is now only 8 years and 10 months old. I love him so very much and so do his siblings.

Rami is a real love bug and should have been named Near because he is always right next to me or cuddling me or one of his 3 siblings. He is a bit dog like in nature as he will greet me at the door every time I enter and his favorite type of play is fetch! Yes, I throw a rubber band and he retrieves and returns it until I’m exhausted! Every person that meets Rami falls instantly in love with him. I have even had people ask me if they can have him. He loves to be picked up and cuddled by everyone!

He has always been special as he was born with a birth defect that affected the muscles in his hind quarters, the ones that would enable him to jump up onto things and help him with balance. I’ve always accommodated him with step stools for getting to higher places, which he loves.

I am his vowed steward and want to do everything in my power to help him. He recently became ill, his intestinal wall is thickening and making him uncomfortable. He is being treated for IBD but my vet thinks he may have more issues. I have been bringing him to the vet a lot. Now he needs to see a specialist. I have drained my resources trying to help him. He needs a rather expensive procedure and treatment to extend his very short life! I am beside myself with fear of losing him so young, or having him suffer and this procedure and treatment are his only hope.

It’s so very hard asking for help but I feel like I must. He deserves the best I can provide as he has filled my heart so much over the years.
