My brother Ralph has always been a hard-working man and a true warrior. For many years he worked as a truck driver, spending long hours on the road providing for his family and helping keep this country moving. Recently, Ralph faced a life-threatening medical crisis due to severe circulation problems caused by peripheral artery disease. After fighting through multiple complications and procedures, doctors had to perform an amputation of his right leg mid thigh in order to save his life. By the grace of God, his surgery was successful. We are incredibly thankful he is still with us. However, his journey is far from over. Ralph now faces a long road of recovery, rehabilitation, and learning how to live life with this major change.

Ralph is currently in Springfield, Missouri, where he is beginning the next phase of recovery. His daughters, Amy and Laura, immediately traveled to be with him so he would not face this difficult time alone. They are staying nearby in a hotel while supporting him through surgery, hospital visits, and the early stages of recovery. As you can imagine, the travel, hotel stays, gas, meals, and time away from work are creating significant financial strain in addition to the medical and rehabilitation costs Ralph will face in the months ahead.
