Help Ralph Conquer GORUCK Selection! 

GORUCK Selection is one of the most grueling endurance events in the world—designed to push even the toughest athletes to their absolute limits. Ralph has accepted the challenge, and we’re rallying behind him as he trains to take on this incredible test of strength, endurance, and grit.

We’re raising funds to cover required gear, travel, and lodging expenses for the event, which will be held in Jacksonville Beach, FL, on September 18th, 2025.

Ralph’s “why” to take on Selection:

I’ve been unhealthy my whole life. I’ve been addicted to drugs, sexually immoral and held onto bitterness towards those who’ve hurt me. Over the past 13 years, the Lord has been removing those strongholds one brick at a time from what was the ruins of my life. Now I’m almost 8 years clean and sober, I’ve been married for almost 10 years and sexually pure for around 3 years, and I’m relationally more healthy than I’ve ever been. My wife has also been attacked in her health for her whole life (in different ways) and she’s taking action in an inspirational way to join me on this journey towards radical health. Last year, my seminary professor and pastor assigned a project to decide upon and define some family core values. My wife helped me with this project and we decided that Harrises are healthy, humble and creative. We have decided that the dysfunctions that we were taught growing up will stop with us and we will teach our children to live lives based around these new principles. Selection isn’t the end point of my health journey, but it is a culmination of things God’s been doing for over a decade in and through me. Selection marks a new beginning for my family’s health journey. I’m planting a flag in new territory. I’m taking new land for myself, and my wife, and my children, and their children. Harrises are healthy. And I’m willing to bleed to stand my ground and prove it.
