My name is Rakhi, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest times my family has ever faced. On July 24, 2025 my husband was taken by ICE and is still being held. We have two children—a 17-year-old daughter and a 16-year-old son—who are trying to stay strong while we navigate this new reality. My husband was the breadwinner for our family, and since he’s been gone, it’s been incredibly difficult to keep up with everything on my own. Just recently, his truck was repossessed, adding even more stress to our situation.

I am doing my best to provide for my kids, but it’s a struggle to cover our basic needs. The funds from this fundraiser will help me put food on the table, keep our bills caught up, and hopefully allow me to get a small used car so I can get to and from work. Every little bit will help us stay afloat while we try to bring some stability back into our lives.
