Help Rakeen Tanvir Fight Thyroid Cancer

To keep it short:
I am asking for your help and support in my friend's fight against thyroid cancer. This money will go directly towards assisting in the payment of, but not limited to:
1. Total Thyroidectomy (thyroid removal surgery )
2. Needle Aspiration Biopsy
3. Scans (CT, Ultrasound, X-Rays) prior to surgery
4. Ongoing thyroid hormone medication
5. Follow-up scans for 5 years post-op
6. Speech and vocal therapy

Rakeen's doctor saw growth in his thyroid gland on a chest X-ray. Upon further testing and a biopsy on June 16th, pathology analysis revealed that Rakeen had a malignant tumor (indicating bilateral papillary thyroid cancer) in his thyroid gland. To ensure it had not spread, Rakeen also received a CT scan and ultrasound of the neck, chest, and lymph nodes which luckily came back with a clean result on June 26th and 29th.
Ultimately, Rakeen will require Total Thyroidectomy surgery that will take place on July 7th however that is not the only concern. Once the operation is complete and Rakeen has recovered, he will need to receive routine tests such as CT scans and ultrasounds to validate that there are no residual cells or complications for the next 2-5 years. Lastly, for the rest of his life, he will need to take thyroid medication to receive hormones that control the heart, muscle and digestive function, brain development, and bone maintenance.
This money will directly go to paying Rakeen's medical bills that are immediate but also to-be recurring in the future. I am asking for your assistance to help his family as they embark on this journey together; this fight will be one that continues on and does not end once the surgery is complete.
