After years of hard work and dedication to the violin, I have been accepted into the prestigious Rushmore Music Festival, an intensive six-week program designed to push young musicians to the next level. This festival is a dream come true and a major stepping stone in my journey as a violinist.

I am 16 years old, a Title I student, and eligible for free lunch. My family and I face severe financial struggles, making it incredibly difficult to afford this opportunity. While I am honored to have been accepted, the financial cost is a significant challenge. The festival requires $750 for the three-week meal plan and $1,500 for the full six weeks. Additionally, a round-trip plane ticket will cost approximately $700. A major obstacle is that once I receive my acceptance letter, I will have only two weeks to secure the necessary funds. Due to previous experiences, the festival is uncertain whether I will be able to cover the costs, which makes this fundraising effort even more urgent.

I have worked tirelessly to advance my musical skills, relying on the generosity of mentors and my community for guidance, transportation, and support. This opportunity will allow me to learn from world-class musicians, perform alongside talented peers, and grow in ways that will shape my future in music.
