Rajashree Banerjee is a graduate student in the Department of Biological Sciences at Purdue University. Since spring 2024, she has been suffering from recurring medical problems, which resulted in two recent surgeries. After missing a significant amount of work, she has been forced to take an unpaid medical leave in the spring semester 2025.
