Help Raise Money For The Simmons Family

Hello Everyone,
As some of you may know, Karen Simmons, a very close family friend, is currently in the hospital suffering serious complications from end-stage liver disease and osteoporosis. Karen was my "babysitter" from the age of 3-13. I spent most weekdays with Karen, her two kids, Kaitlyn (in college) and John (in high school), and many times with her husband, Jack.
Karen was more than a babysitter to my brother and me. She took us to all our sporting events and always had fun arts & crafts activities to educate and entertain us. She was truly a second mother; she fed us, helped with schoolwork, drove us everywhere, cared for us when we were under the weather, and always put smiles on our faces. Having Kaitlyn and John around was always fun for us, too! To this day, long after her daily caring for us, we stay in touch regularly. We consider her whole family our family.
Going on several months now, Karen has been fighting hard in the hospital aiming to keep her strength up, awaiting her turn on the transplant list, which she’s been on for over 100 days. In the mean-time, her family needs help paying for hospital, home, college, and all other living expenses. Unfortunately, both Karen and Jack were laid-off in late March due to the pandemic, making it extremely hard to make ends meet. Furthermore, most of their benefits come to an end this month which will complicate things tremendously.
Please consider donating to this fund - 100% goes to support this amazing family.
Thank you,
Stephanie Puig
