Help Raise Money For Tanikka’s Memorial Service.

Hi. My name is Janiah Brooks. Above what you are reading, that is my beautiful, warm-hearted, talented, intelligent, caring, and loving mom, Tanikka Brooks. My mom was sick for about 3 weeks, she had trouble breathing. She would always cough and vomit. She would have dizziness, have swollen legs, and have numbing in different body parts. Me and her wife Sylvia Thompson we’re ALWAYS trying our HARDEST to make her feel better. We took her to the hospital the first week, and the process was very slow. We we’re there for so long (from 3pm to 10pm), and we couldn’t even get her a room. She was tired and sleepy so we took her home. For the next 2 weeks she started to feel better! She was moving more, her breathing was getting better, she wasn’t coughing, she wasn’t vomiting, everything was just getting better! She was really getting better. But, on January 29, 2021, she woke up from her every Saturday Saturday nap, and her breathing wasn’t doing well, but this time she couldn’t catch her breath. We called 911 and they rushed her to the hospital. Once we got there, unfortunately, when they took us into the family room they told us her heart stop beating and she had a blood clot in her lungs that went straight to her heart and throughout her blood line. They gave her CPR for about an hour and gave her medicine to break up the blood clot. An hour later, Unforunately she did not make it. Me and My yaya (Sylvia Thompson) are so devastated at this tragedy about my mom.
