Hi, my name is Joao Paltanin, I was a very close and good friend of Richard Santos or Ricky if you were close with him. On December 7th, Richard Santos passed away, his untimely passing left his family & friends devastated and with my family being so close with his family, I felt it was the right thing to do in creating this GoFundMe page in order to help the Santos family is this very difficult time.

Richard was a very amazing person, he was kind, loving and had a huge heart. He loved music, his friends and he was passionate with everything he did. As all humans do, he had his personal problems he dealt with, but he was never afraid to speak out and reach out to friends to talk or family to show him love. I first met Richard when I moved to Connecticut in 2006 and we lived in a duplex, and he was my neighbor. I remember all the days we used to go play soccer in the Fairfield Warde High School field right behind our house or when we would go on adventures together whilst skateboarding; but one of the most memorable memories of me with him was when we would record these funny skit compilations called "Random Gone Wild" and boy did we get random and wild, I just wished we could have had one more video together. Another thing I wished we did, me being a music producer, I wish we had collaborated on a song together; however since we did not, I will now be dedicating a song for him in his memory.

As for this fund, we felt we needed to help out his family with the funeral and memorial fees as these things are expensive. If you knew Richard, you know how kind and nice and most of all LOVING. He loved his family and friends and I am lucky to have had the honor of getting to know him. I spoke with his mother and we felt the fund goal should be $10,000 as that will cover all funeral and memorial fees. Any donation is greatly appreciated from $1 or $1000, any little bit counts and is appreciated.

Richard was always there for his friends, and now we owe it to him to be there for him and his family.
