Help raise money for Eddie and he’s recovery

Hi there for those who don’t know me, I’m Mikayla Berry. On the 11th of February my self and my little man where doing a regular family trip too see my new nephew. My nephew Eddie was born on Australia Day and was barely home for a week as he suffered major seizures caused from a bleed to the brain (bleeding to the ventricles). That night we arrived he started having he’s first episode of seizures. He was rushed to Narrabri hospital and immediately airlifted to Sydney Westmead children’s hospital by NETS helicopter on the 11th of February.

Now after 34 days in hospital he is an amazing example of a true fighter. He spent a week and a half in close observation ward and a week and a half in intensive care and now in epilepsy ward.

On the 28th of February he went for surgery to have a external ventricular drain placed in, which started to leak and was removed on the 13th of March.

Yesterday he went for another MRI scan which showed the bleeding had increased from his last scan, so tomorrow at 11am Eddie will undergo major brain surgery to have a Ventriculoperitoneal shunt placed in which will stay in for a life time and grow with Eddie.

With this I’m wanting to do a fund raiser to help support my sister Faith Berry and her Partner Nick Thomlinson. They will need to still do a lot of travelling back and forth to Sydney Westmead Children Hospital for regular check ups.
