My name is Colin Murphy and I’m the organizer of this campaign. I’m from New York and I’m giving all the money made to Aya Qudaih.
Hello my friends, I am Aya, twenty years old, living in Gaza. I started my life as an ambitious person looking for a life. I worked for a marketing company to make a living. My father is unemployed, and I am the one who helps my family. Suddenly, without warning, the story of suffering began. Should I say war? What am I talking about? The death I live through daily, the suffering, or the food that our eyes no longer see. We suffered from hunger and fled from death, hoping to hear a voice or a glimmer of hope that would extend its hand to us to rescue us. Here I remain, my hands tied. No electricity, no water, no internet, no life. What am I talking about? I keep my secrets in a pang in my heart. I do not know if I will last long. I talk about generations that have lost the most basic necessities of life. Corruption has spread, and people’s hands have reached out. Everyone is gnawing at your wound, hoping to live, while I watch and contemplate, dying slowly… My thoughts fell between a wall that I thought was solid. Do you really think it was a tent made of cloth? My breath was held back, and my thoughts were surrounded. We live on sand that slowly devours our bodies. Lines It has burdened us and deprived our souls of comfort and peace. Displacement pulls us from far away and lies in wait to increase our sleeplessness and fatigue. Every day is a new story and suffering. These are my pains. I hope someone will see me. Our life was beautiful, but the war has harmed us greatly. We are living a destructive war and severe hunger. I hope you can help me, even a little.
