Help Support Alice’s Open Heart Surgery.

Hi my name is Cassie and my husband Christian and I have an 8 month old daughter Alice. Alice has a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) which is a hole in the wall separating the two lower chambers of the heart. Alice’s hole is large which causes her heart and lungs to work harder to support the extra blood in her small body. Because of her VSD she has trouble gaining weight, tires easily playing and feeding and over time may cause permanent damage to the lung blood vessels. Alice needs open heart surgery to prevent any further damage to her heart and lungs and is scheduled for January 10th.

I recently got out of the military and now stay home with Alice while my husband works and as a single income family all the medical bills can be financially straining as insurance does not cover all her medical treatments.
