A series of technical issues with each of our three locomotives prevents any of them from running at the current time. 40106 will return to traffic soon, following repairs to its suspension and general maintenance but 40135 needs its engine and generator restoring, along with other works, to see it run again. Our mainline-registered 40145 is currently waiting for its generator to be swapped with the one from 40135, and assessed for a return back to mainline running.

As you can imagine, the repair of these faults place a large strain on the Class Forty Preservation Societies finances, making it impossible to see all three locomotives operating in the near future. We would therefore like to ask if you could make a donation to the CFPS to help us return each of these fantastic locomotives to operation.
