Help raise funds to stock my classroom with books & supplies

Hello,

My name is Monica and I am reaching out to the community as an educator. I will be a 6/7 class this year and I'm a relatively new teacher. I'm hoping to raise some funds to help stock my classroom with diverse books, learning materials, visuals, paints, and other supplies that are needed daily.

Whatever I have left over I would love to put into tech to make my classroom more accessible to multiple students. There are not enough Chromebooks assigned to a classroom for all students to use at the same time, usually for a class of 25 you're lucky to get 8 working ones and need to share between classes which can create a learning barrier.

The other thing I'd like to do with extra money is buy board games (scrabble, banana grams, chess, checkers), STEM supplies, math manipulatives, puzzles and sensory items (magnetic squares, engineering kits, leggo, rubix cubes).

If you are able to help in any way and interested in donating to this cause I'd appreciate it. This would alleviate a lot of financial pressure on me. I am not a permanent teacher and so I do not get paid year round.

The best part is that most of these resources will be able to be used again, especially books, rulers, scissors, paints and other resources that are not single use.

I don't usually ask for help, but it takes a village and my goal to create an inclusive and comfortable learning environment will take a bit of help. The more I have in the class for my students to engage with means that they will be able to meet learning goals and spend more time focused rather than worried about not having a book to read or their own or pencil to write with. I'll also be able to create more engaging lessons and not worry about costs too much.
