It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony Lewis Pointon after a short and courageous battle with oesophageal cancer. Born on 4th September 1958, Tony brought joy and creativity into the lives of those around him.

His passion for the theatre was evident throughout his life as he dedicated himself to the crafts of writing, directing and acting, leaving an indelible mark on the stage. His work was a testament to his talent and commitment to the performing arts.

Tony held a special place in his heart for unloved cats. His compassion for them saw him adopting and caring for many throughout the years and they became a very important and cherished part of his life.

Known for his quick wit and infectious humour, Tony cultivated many long-lasting friendships. His presence brought laughter and warmth to those fortunate enough to share in his company. As a brother, uncle, and friend, he was a pillar of support and a source of unwavering love.

Although Tony's life was dedicated to bringing joy and happiness to family, friends, and cats alike, it unfortunately left little room to acquire savings, assets or provision for himself. It it with this in mind that Tony's family would like to request donations in lieu of flowers and tributes to help support the expenses surrounding a celebration of life event for him. This would ideally take place in January 2024, an exact date and location TBD.

Any and all contributions would be deeply appreciated and mean a great deal to his loved ones at this time.

Tony is deeply missed but will be fondly remembered for the joy he brought to our lives.
