Hi, we are starting this GoFundMe in an attempt to raise enough funds to surpass an unprecedented financial burden that our family is facing.

 

Two weeks ago, our family traveled out of state and shortly after our arrival, our mom, Rosa, started feeling very ill. After days without feeling any better, she went to a clinic, where they were unable to find the root cause of her pain and symptoms. When her condition worsened, we had to take her to the emergency room where they discovered that her appendix had been ruptured for days before she was admitted, causing a life-threatening infection that spread through her body and required immediate medical attention.

 

Due to the severity of the infection, we were not able to travel back to Washington and had to seek medical care here in California. She was admitted to PIH Health in Whittier, California on November 11th and is currently estimated to be there for a few more weeks.

 

Being out of state and without medical insurance has caused major financial stress on our family, considering the

cost of the visit to the emergency room, unknown length of her hospital stay, two surgeries, CT scans, X-Rays and medications, to name a few. Our main priority right now is getting our mom healthy and home. Your funds would help us greatly to be able to stay here for the duration of her hospitalization and pay any more up front costs that have already been charged at the hospital.

Hola, estamos intentando recaudar fondos para los gastos médicos de nuestra mama Rosa, incluyendo la visita a emergencias, más de una semana (por ahora) en el hospital, dos cirugías, exámenes radios X, CT’s y la atención que necesita para recuperarse.

 

Hace dos semanas, nuestra familia viajó fuera del estado. Poco después de nuestra llegada, nuestra mamá comenzó a sentirse muy mal. Al no mejorar la situación, tuvo que ser llevada a una clínica donde recomendaron más estudios, y después de dos días más, cuando el dolor era insoportable, tuvimos que llevarla a emergencias. Fue entonces que descubrieron que su apéndice había estado perforado durante varios días, causando una infección muy severa que requería atención médica inmediata.

 

Al principio intentaron controlar la infección con solo antibióticos pero después de días sin mejorar, tuvieron que hacer la cirugía que estaban evitando por el riesgo de hacerla con toda la inflamación que tenía por dentro.

 

Desde entonces ha tenido varías complicaciones y han seguido haciendo estudios y monitoreándola.

 

Debido a la severidad de la infección, no pudimos viajar de regreso a Washington y tuvimos que buscar atención médica aquí en California. Estar fuera del estado y sin seguro medico, sus fondos nos ayudarán en gran medida para permitirnos estar aquí durante la duración de su hospitalización y a pagar los pagos por adelantado que ha pedido el hospital.
