UPDATE: Thank you all for all of your support as we deal with this heavy loss, I assure you that each of you is truly appreciated and I'm sure Michael would be touched. Times like these can be hard for anyone, so as you can imagine we are happy that the community is riding with us through this.

The expected funeral date is June 7th 2023 at Ortiz Funeral Home on 1st and 1st Avenue for those that want to attend. It is from 4PM to 8PM, we would love to have you show up. The expected ride along open to all bikers will be Saturday - June 10th. If you'd like to attend, hang out or share stories or even just ride your bike please come down! On May 27th at about 10:15PM, Michael Gilligbouer, was fatally stabbed on 10th street between Avenue B and C. Michael was going home from work when he was assaulted by a stranger walking in the opposite direction. More details on this tragedy can be found below:

Michael was a joy to have in everyones lives. He enjoyed spending his time working with bikes and was there for everyone who needed him. Michael was a father to a child that he is leaving behind and a hard-working individual. His clients and co-workers loved him and he was beloved in his community of the East Village. His sense of humor will remain unmatched along with the hole he has left in everyones hearts.

We are hoping the community that adored he cherished so much can come together and participate in his funeral and help the family through this sad ordeal. His family is welcoming friends and fellow bikers to come over and celebrate his life over the next few weeks and we will update this post with updates on the get together most likely on the FDR.
