My name is Pura Ramos and I am Valerie Arriola's sister. My sister's husband, Oscar Arriola, tested positive for COVID-19 on August 10th. He's been hospitalized since August 18th and intubated since August 26th. His insurance company has informed the family that they will cover a percentage of the bill but the family will have to pay a percentage of his hospital stay.

 

My brother-in-law has been an excellent husband and father. He has loved his wife and 2 children dearly. Married for almost 18 years, my sister has expressed that she misses her best friend and life partner. His son, Matthew is 11 years old and says that he misses his dad. When asked "what do you miss the most?", he responded in tears "there is no most....I miss everything about him". His daughter, Ceana is 6 years old and does not fully understand what is happening but she knows that she wants him back home.

Mi nombre es Pura Ramos y soy la hermana de Valerie Arriola.  El esposo de mi hermana, Oscar Arriola, dio positivo al coronavirus (COVID-19) el 10 de agosto.  Está hospitalizado desde el 18 de agosto e intubado desde el 26 de agosto.  Su compañía de seguros ha informado a la familia que cubrirán un porcentaje de la factura pero la familia tendrá que pagar un porcentaje de su estadía en el hospital.

Mi cuñado ha sido un excelente esposo y padre.  Ha amado mucho a su esposa y a sus 2 hijos.  Casada desde hace casi 18 años, mi hermana ha expresado que extraña a su mejor amigo y compañero de vida.  Su hijo, Matthew, tiene 11 años y dice que extraña a su papá.  Cuando se le preguntó "¿qué es lo que más extrañas?", respondió entre lágrimas "no hay 'más'...extraño todo de él".  Su hija, Ceana, tiene 6 años y no comprende del todo lo que está pasando, pero sabe que lo quiere de regreso a casa.
