Hi my name is Sherri, I am fundraising for my husband Doug. On July 10th, 2021 Doug collapsed due to an aneurysm that ruptured in his head. He had to have a crainiotomy. They removed half of Doug's skull because of the brain swelling. Doug also suffered a stroke on his right side of his body. Doug's doctors say it could take over a year to get better. They said Doug would have some deficits. Doug and I need your help. All Doug has is short term disability and long term disability through his work. They only cover a little over half of Doug's wages. My wife can't work write now because she has to learn how to care for me. I have to learn to talk, walk, eat and all the other daily things you take for granted. I cant move my right side of my body. Rehabilitation is going to be hard and very long. I need my wife by my side so she can care for me. That's why we are asking for your help financially. We need to keep a roof over our heads and the medical Bill's have started coming in. We are missing my full income and Sherri stepped away from her job to care for me. The Bill's dont stop coming because you get sick. We need financial help for my continuing care and so Sherri can keep are apartment and not end up on the street. Neither one of us feels good about asking for financial help, but we dont have any other options. So if you could find it in your heart to help us we will be most appreciative. My husband is the one I am most concerned about. He really has a long road to see what he can get back. Doug is the best person I know. He is a hard worker at DC Group. We dont even know if he will be able to go back to work ever. Please help my husband and myself so we can be a team and get through all of this. We really are facing being homeless if we cannot raise any money. We also have to keep paying the medical Bill's so they will continue to treat me.
