Paying Tribute To Joaquin Mercado III

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Joaquin Mercado. Joaquin was a bright spark to many people and he will be missed. He leaves behind his wife Karen, sons Joaquin, Asher and daughter Brooklyn. He touched the lives of so many and it’s our turn to give back to his family in their time of need. This was not expected, Joaquin was 34 years old. We are raising money to help cover the costs of the funeral and memorial services for Joaquin’s family. We are all devastated.

Joaquin was recently diagnosed with a rare cancer. He and his family sought answers and treatments, researching new doctors and clinical trials. He was diagnosed with a rare form of neuro fibrosis with little known medical data and unknown treatments and was suddenly given months to live. He spent many weeks in the hospital, for 2 to 3 weeks at a time. In his recent hospital stay, he chose to come home to be with his family, living the rest of his days with them by his side. This has been extremely hard for our family.
