Support Tyrek Smith's Family in Their Time of Grief

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

With heavy hearts, we come together to support the family of Tyrek Smith, a vibrant 15-year-old whose life was tragically cut short after falling ill at school last Friday. Tyrek’s kindness and warmth touched all who knew him, and his loss is deeply felt by his family and the entire R.B. Stall High School community.

In honor of Tyrek, the school held a vigil and planted a tree in his memory. Yet, there are still funeral expenses to be covered, including the burial plot, casket, and other necessary arrangements for his celebration of life, which will take place on Thursday, April 10th, at NorthPalm Global Church. We are grateful to NorthPalm for graciously offering their space and providing memorial pins featuring Tyrek’s sunrise and sunset.

As church leaders, we humbly ask for your support to cover the remaining funeral costs. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to help provide Tyrek with the dignified farewell he deserves.

Every donation, no matter the size, will ease the financial burden on the Smith family. Your generosity will not only relieve some of their burden but also demonstrate the compassion of our global community during this difficult time.

As the Scripture reminds us, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18). Let us continue to surround the Smith family with love, prayers, and support as they navigate this incredibly painful loss.
