Help Rainer to travel to 70.3 World Championship in Marbella
Donation protected
Rainer grew up in the poorer parts of Manaus, Brazil, under conditions that were anything but easy. However, it quickly became clear that he had an extraordinary talent. When I first met him, he was full of ambition, but often lacked even the most necessities, sometimes not even enough food to fuel his training.
Still, he never gave up. He pushed through, trained every single day, and today he’s a passionate triathlete competing at a professional level. I’ve been coaching him for free and supporting him privately because I believe in him, and his dedication truly inspires me.
And he had a lot of bad luck on top of that. This is a true story. He started at his first 70.3 and was first out of the water and on the bike, but then experienced a defect on his bike, primarily due to lower-quality parts. So, he took his energy to the next race and was first on the bike again until a car hit him on the race course. He recovered from the hit and then returned to racing. Even in the last race, when he qualified for the Championships, he had a flat tire, lost 20 minutes, and still ended up in second place. He is a jewel with so much potential and a great mindset.
Today, Rainer works as a coach himself and manages to make a modest living. However, when it comes to professional race equipment, flights, accommodation, and entry fees for the 70.3 World Championship in Marbella, he lacks the necessary funds.
His dream is to compete in the 70.3 Triathlon World Championship in Marbella and finish in the top 10 to secure sponsors and finally go pro. The base is set by qualifying in San Andreas this year.
Our goal: €3,000–5,000 for travel, accommodation, and equipment.
Every contribution, no matter how small or large, brings Rainer one step closer to this dream. Let’s come together to support a young athlete who never gave up, even when the odds were stacked against him.
Thank you for your support!
Cheers
