Help Raíces de Vida Train a Local Waldorf Teacher!

Our Goal: $85,000 by August 2025

Hello friends and supporters!

We are Raíces de Vida , a Waldorf-inspired school dedicated to nurturing children’s creativity, empathy, and love of learning here in Zapotal, Oaxaca, Mexico. Today, we’re reaching out for your help in funding Maria, a devoted single mom from a nearby village, to become a fully certified Waldorf teacher.

All funds raised will be directed to CDA Center for Anthroposophical Development to cover a five-year teacher training program (at $17,000 Mexican pesos per year), empowering Maria with the skills she needs to educate our children.

Meet Maestra Maria

Maria has been a support teacher at Raíces de Vida since 2022, always ready with a smile and a kind word for every family. She provides emotional support to our students, keeps daily needs organized, and has truly become one of the backbones of our school.
As a proud Oaxacan, Maria is eager to share her cultural heritage and is deeply appreciative of this community project. In early 2024, she accepted our community’s offer to pursue her Waldorf certification—specializing in primary education—so she can serve our children even more effectively.
