Help Rahul Recover
Donation protected
For those who have met Rahul, it's quite hard to forget him. He's a gregarious prankster with a kind soul. He's the first on the dance floor and the last to leave. He's a finance wizard and will give everyone the benefit of the doubt (even his competitors). He has big ears and an even bigger heart.
It's his infectious personality that makes it hard to believe that a tragedy could happen to someone like him. On June 1, Rahul was living through just another Saturday. He woke up next to his wife, Pratiksha, and was soon joined by his two kids Sophia and Ari. Together as a family, they went to a community party where he shared a daddy-daughter dance with his little girl. Everyone was in good spirits on a perfect Saturday afternoon in New England.
It was only a few hours after the dance, Sophia watched her father get wheeled away in an ambulance to be treated as a stroke patient and then transferred to the ICU NYU Medical Center in Midtown Manhattan. Rahul is still in the medical unit there recovering from an emergency craniotomy.
As expected with stroke patients, his recovery will take several months. In the next few weeks, he will be admitted to an in-patient rehabilitation center so that he can regain control over the right side of his body.
Rahul was self-employed and the breadwinner of the household. The cost of his emergency care plus the ongoing therapy, mixed with household expenses will fall on Pratiksha as she tries to manage 2 young children and Rahul's health.
We are seeking your blessings and donations to help pay for Rahul's medical expenses and rehabilitation. Every little bit counts. We thank you for your support.
