30-year-old trainee nurse Rahul Kumar has been brutally attacked while simply walking to his car after leaving a gym in Westmead.
He was ambushed in broad daylight by six men bearing baseball bats and metal poles.
Concealed by balaclavas and hoodies, his attackers filmed their ambush, fled and then posted the footage proudly on social media.
Rahul was left with a broken arm, severe bruising on his body and an almost fractured skull, requiring eight stitches in his head and extensive surgery on his arm.
He has also been left emotionally traumatised, scared to leave his home.
He will be unable to work for at least three months, confined to bed rest as he recovers.
The funds raised will help Rahul cope with medical bills and months without a source of income.
It's absolutely terrifying that an innocent person could be viciously attacked while minding their own business.
Let's show Rahul some support while he's on the road to recovery.
