In June 2019, a few months after graduating from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Rahul Thapar was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic colorectal malignant cancer, after a series of deteriorating health episodes. Rahul is a hardworking young man and a proud Boothie who has lofty entrepreneurial aspirations of furthering his career. Unfortunately, his dreams met with the brutal reality of having to fight metastasized cancer.

He has so far mobilized his life savings to undergo the following treatment plans :
1. Percutaneous biliary drainage with bilateral metal stenting as he was jaundice secondary to liver metastasis
2. Diversion colostomy - to relieve intestinal obstruction secondary colorectal tumor growth causing a complete obstruction.
He was brought back to India in early May amidst the Covid-19 pandemic in order to garner support from friends and family. Rahul is far from being stabilized and needs to undergo further procedures stated below to get him out of the woods.
Planning for :
1. Radiation of spinal metastasis to relieve the severe bone pain at multiple levels
2. HIPEC for the peritoneal metastatic disease
3. SBRT for the liver metastases
Rahul does not have any medical insurance in India and has completely exhausted his life savings for the treatment cost thus far. Yet, Rahul is hopeful, strong, smiling, and not letting any of this deter his spirits.
Words cannot describe how your help will revive Rahul's failing health and give him the strength to fight this deadly disease.
