Help Rafi to stay in school, and finish school !

My name is Rafael (Rafi) to some. I am the second of four siblings, two

girls and two boys, the first and only to have gone so far abroad for my

studies. The separation from my family was difficult and the distance is

even more difficult I wish to make them proud and bring them to my

graduation at the end of my schooling. The spiritual side of this experience

is to grow my faith, to have my own experience with God and to be able

to witness what he has done and what he will do. As an international

student at the prestigious Oakwood University in the United States

coming from France. I am studying for a Major: Music Vocal

Performance and Pedagogy with a Minor: Theology. I would like to stay in

college and finish my degree without worrying about the financial aspect.

I am in a program that costs me around 17,000 US dollars each semester

and even with scholarships, from my student job on campus, or the

different program I do during the break (summer/winter) I cannot cover

these school fees. The amount I owe the university to be clear is around

$22,500. I have been in this situation since the beginning of the semester

and it is affecting my family who is on the other side of the sea.

On my side, I am affected mentally, physically as well as spiritually. I don't have access to the cafeteria, I continue to go to class because I don't want to be too late when I get back. In spite of this situation, I do not lose faith and see God’s hand with me through the people he sends on my way, to help me and bring me adequate support in this situation and season of my student life. God allows me to stay in the dorm until further notice. I

believe that I will grow and learn spiritually through this experience, the

difficulty is to live it without knowing when it will be over. The urgency

is that as an international student, I have until March 31 to remain in the

Americas in the eyes of the law. After that, my visa will be cancelled and

I will have to go back to France without having the possibility to finish

my school program. This is why I am writing to you to get some

kind of contribution from you.

Je m’appelle Rafael (Rafi) pour certains. Je suis le deuxième d'une fratrie

de quatre, deux filles et deux garçons, le premier et le seul à être partie

aussi loin à l'étranger pour mes études. La séparation avec ma famille a

été difficile et la distance l'est encore plus et j'ai le souhait de les rendre

fière et les faire venir pour ma graduation à la fin de ma scolarité. Le cote

spirituelle de cette expérience est de faire grandir ma foi, d'avoir ma

propre expérience avec Dieu et de pouvoir témoigner de ceux qu'il a déjà

fait et ce qu'il fera. Je suis étudiant internationale à la prestigieuse

Oakwood University aux Etats-Unis. Dans le cadre de mes études

supérieur pour l’obtention d’un Bachelor en Musique Exécution et

Pédagogie vocales avec une spécialisation en Théologie. Je souhaiterais

rester à l’université et finir mon cursus sans me préoccuper de l’aspect

financier. Je suis dans une filière qui me coûte 17 000 USA dollar US

chaque semestre et malgré ma bourse je ne peux couvrir c’est frais

scolaires. Le montant que je dois à l’université pour être inscrit de

nouveau est d’environ 22,500 $. Je suis dans cette situation depuis le début du semestre et cela affecte ma famille qui est de l’autre côté de la mer. De mon côté je suis affecté mentalement, physiquement ainsi que

spirituellement. Je n’ai pas accès à la cafeteria, je continue d’aller en cours

car je ne veux pas être trop en retard lorsque je serai de retour. Malgré

cette situation je ne perds pas la foie et vois la main du seigneur poser sur

moi à travers les personnes qu’il envoie sur mon chemin, pour m’aider et

m’apporter le soutien adéquate dans cette situation de ma vie étudiante.

Je crois que je sortirais grandi et plus mature spirituellement à travers de

cette expérience, la difficulté est de la vivre sans savoir quand ce sera fini.

L’urgence est qu’en étant étudiant internationale, j’ai jusqu’au 31, mars

pour rester sur le continent américain aux yeux de la loi. Après cela, mon

visa sera annulé et j’aurai l’obligation de retourné en Métropole sans avoir

la possibilité de finir mon programme scolaire. C’est la raison pour

laquelle je me permets de vous écrire dans le but d’obtenir une

contribution quelconque de votre part.
