It pains me to have to even write this, but my nephew Rafa, who lives in Guatemala is battling brain cancer for the third time. He has been so strong through the first two rounds of chemo and surgeries and it breaks our hearts that such a young man with so much promise is going through this at all, let alone three times. He had just recently re-enrolled in college, and was looking forward to getting on with his life.
But he started having headaches recently, so his mom (my 2nd oldest sister) took him to get checked out, and we got the worst news back. The oncologist confirmed that a new tumor in a new location was forming. He needs immediate surgery which my cousin and I are going to try and cover between us if possible, but he has more surgeries and chemo ahead in his immediate future and my sister is asking for any help we can give her. If you can spare anything, even a few dollars, it stretches so much further in Guatemala and will help them enormously. My family appreciates it from the bottom of our hearts.
