I want to take this l time to first say thank you to everyone that has supported me during these extremely difficult times as of right now I have raised $3,494 of the $5,500 I need to remain in my home and pay the overdue bills. Hello my name is Rae, thirteen years ago, I made the difficult decision to give up my home in Florida and relocated to New Jersey to care for my mother and stepfather, who was suffering from dementia. After my stepfather passed away in 2020, I stayed to support my mother until her recent passing in July 2025. The last 13 years have been challenging but the last 5 years have not only been difficult but also painful. Loosing my stepfather in 2020 then my sister's unexpected death on April 21, 2024 and after caring for my mother on home hospice I experienced the most difficult and heartbreaking pain ever when I held her hand until she took her final breath, my life was altered forever. Now, I've inherented their overwhelming bills and high mortgage, struggling to keep the family home that has been in our family for over 80 years. As a disabled Veteran currently receiving treatments for stage 3 lung cancer and battling congestive heart failure, I am on a fixed income and unable to work due to my serious health issue. I was recently faced with an extremely expensive and unexpected home repair, and now I find myself in a battle to save my home and do everything I can to keep a roof over our heads to advoid homelessness.

Throughout my entire life, I have cared for my loved ones, caring for my grandparents, stepfather, and mother through their final days, all while facing my own health battles. I have never asked for help like this before, but I am now at a point where I don't know where else to trun. The funds raised will go directly toward catching up on my mortgage and overdue bills. This situation has been extremely difficult and challenging but most of all humbling it has tested and shaken my faith to its very core in ways I never thought possible. But I will continue standing on my faith and trusting that there are people willing to help. Any support you can offer will make a difference and is deeply appreciated.
