Hi everyone, I’m Gina, and I’m raising funds for my dear friend, Rae Radovic.

Three months ago on the 18th of December, Rae had a freak accident at Wategos Beach, Byron Bay. While untying her longboard from the roof of her troopy, a massive gust of wind lifted both her and the board into the air. Witnesses said it was like she became a kite. She crashed onto the road, landing hard on her knees and face.

Rae completely shattered both kneecaps, fractured her foot, and suffered facial injuries. After an excruciating wait for the ambulance, she was taken to Lismore Hospital, where she underwent bilateral patella reconstruction surgery, receiving six screws and wires in her knees. She spent 2.5 weeks in the hospital and is now in leg braces, learning how to walk properly again.

She’s in a lot of pain, unable to work (had to quit her job at Go Vita), and is facing a long road to recovery.

This fundraiser will help cover her living expenses, medical costs, rehab, and therapy so she can focus solely on her healing without the added financial stress.

Rae did NOT want me to do this fundraiser, but after seeing firsthand everything she’s been going through (as I was over every day during the beginning of her recovery to help her with showering, and now assist with taking her to some of her appointments), I know she deserves and NEEDS this support.
