Help Rae Purchase a Caravan To Live In
Donation protected
Update 19 March 2025
Thank you so much to all who have shared and/or donated. I was able to purchase a caravan with the help of my Dad loaning me some money but there's so many small expenses that are adding up. I need to pay my Dad back and my disability pension just got cut by $150/fortnight so I'm really struggling. If you are able to please share this again I'd really appreciate it.
Anything helps. I'm hoping to get stable here so I can finally start working again and have a buffer for bills etc.
Appreciate you all
Rae

Hi friends.
As the cost of living continues to rise, I have found myself priced out of the rental market. I've been looking for four months without success. A one bedroom rental now costs more than a 3 bedroom did a year ago!
I have organised a storage unit for the bulk of my belongings and have been trying to purchase a caravan. Unfortunately my ute broke down last week and needed $3k in repairs so now my caravan savings is down to $6k. Most of the 2nd hand caravans that have bunk beds so that the kids can still stay with me are in the $8k-$12k range. Anything you can donate to helped me stay housed in some form would be greatly appreciated.
My lease is already up and I really need to be out of this rental. Any help you could possibly give would be so greatly appreciated. If you're in Australia maybe I could even come to visit with the caravan sometime
My partner has been back in the States for months due to burnout and tending to their Dad who had surgery so it would be great to have something for them to come back to.
Once I can get a caravan, my plan is to write every donor's name on one of the walls inside the caravan as a way to thank you all and have your kindness live on. Seeing it will help remind me that we are all in this together.
If you can't donate would you consider sharing this? Thank you so much ️
