My sweet friend Rae and her husband Alex are in a financial crisis right now and they can't face this battle alone with their current incomes. They have three daughters in their home; one is an infant who needs baby formula. Currently, they have debt totaling well over $12,000, but we are asking for help for the highest priority things to avoid having their wages garnished and being put into further debt. Debt is piling up in the form of credit card bills in collection, child support, medical bills, and a loan that was taken out to pay expenses for her daughter Ellie, who was born during COVID lockdowns. The most pressing things to pay for are the loan to avoid Rae's wages being garnished and Alex's child support to avoid having his driver's license suspended. They currently have support to pay rent, but they will eventually be losing that. They both work hard to provide for their family, but like so many others, they're struggling in today's economy and they don't have a way to pay the bills that are going to push them over the edge. Rae is being totally transparent about how much they make: Rae makes just over $18/hr, and Alex makes $8/hr at a breakfast restaurant, but he'll be starting training as a police officer in November. It's important to take care of Alex's child support bills so he can keep his license so he can keep his new job! They have a goal to improve their credit and save up for a house, which will be cheaper for them than renting an apartment where they live. They're remaining faithful and praying that God will provide for their needs. We just want to help this sweet family tackle the major things that are keeping them from being able to take care of themselves.
