Help RaDonna Conquer Cancer

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Lindsay Hajek and I am raising money to help my mom fight the battle against cancer.

She was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer during our three week-long stay at the hospital.
Before the hospital visit, my mom had been sick and not herself for quite some time. We thought it was the flu, COVID, strep throat, a stomach bug, or anything other than what we would come to find out... cancer.

Once we started noticing that my mom just wasn't getting better after the couple of dr visits she made, she progressively got worse... she could no longer swallow foods and eventually not even water. Not to mention that everything she attempted to consume would come back up within minutes, leaving her completely unable to receive any nourishment.

At this point, a month had passed with difficulty swallowing along with consistent vomiting and she had now been prevented from working for months due to fatigue, weakness, lack of business, depression, and stress.

After two 70 mile one-way trips to the hospital and a CT scan, we found a mass the size of a fist in the center of her chest.
Immediately we were transported via ambulance to Shoreline hospital where the specialists were.
We remained there for a month. I missed work and stayed by her side.
She endured needles, tests, medications, breathing treatments, procedures, attempted biopsies, including the placement of a feeding tube directly into her stomach which was high risk due to the placement of the mass.

After finally receiving a successful bronchoscopy we waited for results for almost a week.

Finally, we are faced with the reality of our situation.
The preliminary results showed a positive result of nonsmall cell adenocarcinoma, otherwise known as lung cancer. Not only that but stage 4... non-operable and incurable.

I truly stopped breathing. I think she did too. She remains hopeful, aloof, and determined to remain in her faith in the Lord and His plan.
Even after the doctor explained our treatment options were chemotherapy or...hospice.

We chose chemo. She says she will fight until she can’t anymore!!!

The next day, she had a mediport placed into her right shoulder and received her first round of chemotherapy.

The day after, we are discharged from the hospital and I decide she needs to stay with me indefinitely.

Within a single weekend, we moved 6 years' worth of accumulated possessions from my one bedroom apartment into a two-bedroom.

We still have an entire house in our hometown we've lived in for 20 years. She still has her car and her business and her whole life we can't throw away... She needs hope and can't face the devastation of fully losing everything she worked her entire 64 years of life for...

We are stumped, scared, and stressed and I don't have any idea how I am supposed to afford everything piling up…I'm trying every avenue I can find to help with financial assistance. I've missed and continue to miss work. My savings are depleting.

We are doing around-the-clock tube feedings, scheduled meds, monitoring vitals, dr appointments, and had to get an oxygen supply installed in the apartment.

We have never done anything like this before so I’m reaching out to ask for help.
I know it's cliche, but my mom truly means everything to me...if you know my mom, you know she's one of God's walking earthly angels...

If there is anyone that resonated with this and can help, anything at all means everything.
