Help Rachel with recovery and care costs

On the morning of November 17th— Rachel Winfield a beloved daughter, sister and friend, was involved in a terrible car accident in Chumuckla, FL where her best friend Destinee was killed in the accident.

By the grace of God, Rachel survived the accident. However, she has a VERY long road of recovery ahead. She was in the hospital for 5 days. She has a broken nose, broken upper and lower jaw, lost 8 teeth, 3 broken ribs, a broken hip in (two places), punctured lung, spleen, and liver. Rachel has also suffered traumatic emotional stress since the accident and will deal with the long term side effects of that for a while.

We truly feel as though if it were not for the quick response of the two young ladies who witnessed the accident and were responsible for her rescue and emergency care, she would not be with us today.

Rachel was life flighted from the scene of the accident and spent 5 days in the hospital where she underwent serv surgeries on her jaws to place the bones back together.

She is currently home from the hospital but she has many surgeries ahead of her. Rachel is in high spirits and recovering however, her long road to recovery will consist of more surgery for broken bones, wound care, and extensive rehabilitation.

Rachel is surrounded by loving family who are hoping for a positive and successful recovery. We humbly ask that you keep Rachel and her family in your thoughts. The creation of this GoFundMe is to provide a channel for those who are willing and able to contribute towards the cost of her care and recovery.

Our only priority is to ensure Rachel makes it through this terrible accident and is able to continue her young life as healthy and whole as possible.
