Help Rachel with her brain surgery

Hi my name is EVA and I am raising money for my dear friend, Rachel. If you have ever met Rachel Soper (formerly Maggio) you know she is a joyful, kind and warm presence! The nitty gritty:

In February of 2022 she was diagnosed with Idiopathic Intercranial Hypertension. Due to the pressure of fluid buildup in her skull, it caused a small crack to form leading to the very unpleasant and scary leaking of fluid from places it should not be, like anywhere but really most notably from her nose and ears.

In an effort to relieve the pressure and safely redirect the leaking fluid, Rachel underwent surgery the past April to have a shunt installed which lead from her head down through her abdomen. Unfortunately there have been some issues resulting in two additional revision surgeries all to no avail.

This lead doctors to try and help Rachel with a THIRD revision surgery where they discovered that this would not be a permanent solution.

In this upcoming new year, the doctors have decided to install a ventriculoperitoneal (or a VP) shunt hoping that his will help provide a long term if not permanent solution. Without this surgery, Rachel faces the extremely undesirable certainty of continuously leaking fluid from her body, crushing headaches and the possibility of inducing Alzheimers as she ages.

Unsure of when she will be able to get back to making people's hair beautiful, she needs a little help making sure her bills will be covered while she heals and rests from this arduous undertaking.
