Help Rachel Day While Her Mom Battles Cancer

Donation protected
Two weeks after evacuating her apartment due to the Palisades Fire, Rachel found out her mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully, the cancer was caught in an early stage, but it is a very aggressive form of cancer. Her mom is currently scheduled to undergo a double mastectomy in mid-late February followed by 4-5 months of chemotherapy. Rachel is an only child and financially supports her mom, who is single and lives alone.

Rachel will be working significantly less in order to act as her mom’s primary caretaker. These funds will provide stability during a time of deep uncertainty, covering living expenses throughout treatment and recovery, and any other unforeseen costs. They will also cover transportation costs since Rachel doesn’t have a car and will need to use a car service or buy a car for frequent medical appointments.

Rachel is a dear friend to many. She has a special way of caring for others and has never wavered in her commitment to being kind and helpful. If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve experienced her thoughtfulness and generosity first-hand. Let’s support Rachel during this difficult time, like she always has for us.

Please give what you can and share widely. We are so appreciative of any support you can offer to Rachel and her mom.
