Hi, my name is Rachel, and I’m currently in a severe and worsening health crisis. My condition causes intense immune reactions including episodes of extreme swelling (angioedema), hives (urticaria), breathing difficulty, and full-body inflammation. I’ve required emergency treatment including epinephrine injections, IV medications, and high-dose steroids just to stabilize temporarily — but the reactions keep coming back.

These ongoing emergency episodes and medical needs have become overwhelming. While my family has been trying to help as much as they can over the past few years, the financial burden of repeated ER visits, treatments, and trying to find a safe place for me to live is no longer sustainable and is not fully covered by insurance.

For the past few years, I’ve been dealing with complex and debilitating health issues that have progressively taken away my ability to function. Despite doing everything I can, my condition has continued to decline to the point where even basic daily tasks are overwhelming.

The first photo is me with my dog during a time when I was doing better — I was present, hopeful, and starting to feel like myself again. The second shows what my reality looks like now.

I was recently accepted into a highly specialized neuro-immune clinic after my case was reviewed, which gives me real hope. This is an opportunity for me to finally understand what’s happening in my body and work toward real recovery — not just temporary stabilization. But I need help getting there and making it to that appointment.

Right now, my biggest priority is getting into a stable, safe environment where my body can calm down. I don’t have the ability to keep pushing through this on my own anymore, and my condition continues to worsen without that stability.

• Specialist medical care and treatment

• Safe, temporary housing so I can stabilize

• Basic necessities while I’m unable to function normally

This is very uncomfortable for me to ask. I’ve always tried to handle everything on my own, but I’ve reached a point where I truly need support.

I’m doing everything I can to get through this, but I can’t do it alone right now. I just want a chance to get my life and health back.
