I never imagined I’d be in this position, but as a single mother of two young boys, I’m reaching out because I truly need help. Last Christmas morning, I slipped on ice while walking to my car and suffered a severe break to my ankle and leg. What followed has been a long road of healing, including two surgeries the most recent just before Thanksgiving. I haven’t yet been medically approved to return to work, and I’m still waiting on daycare and job clearance so I can fully get back on my feet.
During this time, I’ve done everything I can to stay afloat. Unfortunately, my car was unexpectedly repossessed. I’ve had this car for five years and it’s very close to being paid off. Losing it now is a major setback, especially as I’m preparing to return to work and rebuild stability for my children.
My family has helped me in every way they possibly can, and I’m incredibly grateful for their support. However, right now the challenge is needing a larger amount all at once, something that’s simply beyond what any one person can manage. That’s why I’m humbly turning to the kindness of others.
I’m close to being fully healed, but until I receive medical approval, daycare placement, and job clearance, I’m in a difficult gap. Having my car is essential for work, appointments, and caring for my children. I’m asking for help to save it so I don’t lose the progress I’ve fought so hard to make.
This support would mean so much to my boys, who are 5 and 3. They’ve been my strength this past year…sitting with me when I couldn’t move, learning to help around the house, and showing me what empathy looks like at such a young age. I want to protect their sense of security and preserve their childhood as much as possible as we enter this final stretch of recovery.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. Any support, whether through donating or sharing, truly means the world to us.
Thank you for anything you can help with
