Help Rachel recover her independence with a home on wheels

I loved living in my van. I felt almost like I wasn't even homeless, and for once, I was almost happy. I even had a job, doing data annotation/AI training remotely.

But that was all ripped away from me in the early morning hours of January 28th, when I got pulled over for a broken headlight, and they impounded my van because I didn't have car insurance. Everything I owned was in the van. EVERYTHING. And they wouldn't let me take so much as a sleeping bag (two weeks later I had to go to the hospital for pneumonia). Because I didn't have "proof of ownership," I couldn't go recover any of my things. I wound up losing my job because it took me so long to get another laptop—I got hit with some assessment thing, which I failed.

I'm trying to fundraise so that I can get another vehicle at a tow yard auction.

I HATE living like this. I HATE having to push a shopping cart, and carry a sleeping bag. I HATE having nowhere to work on my laltop after the coffee shop closes, and I hate sitting in this coffee shop all day every day until they close.

My name is Rachel. I am a 34 year old homeless trans/non-binary femme. I'm an aspiring blogger and computer programmer. Please donate if you can, and if you can't—please share on social media.

Thanks.
