Help Rachel Recover and Continue Her Vital Work

I am raising funds for my colleague, Rachel Moderson. Rachel has been a fierce, dedicated advocate for many vulnerable populations. Rachel treats people with dignity and believes everyone deserves basic human rights. In her current role, she case manages folks living with HIV and AIDS. Rachel has earned the respect and trust of her clients, co-workers and peers.

For the past several years, Rachel has been struggling with female health. She has had multiple unsuccessful procedures to remove high levels of dysplasia, and has chosen to move forward with a total hysterectomy to prevent cancer.

Rachel is expected to have a leave of absence from employment for at least 6-8 weeks. Rachel's pay will be reduced to 60% after a 14 day unpaid waiting period for short term disability. Rachel is a single mom with no outside financial support. Rachel has applied for community resources to assist with rent and utility costs, but has not been approved at this time and her leave of absence begins November 18, 2024. Additionally, Rachel has monthly living expenses such as a car payment, internet and the cost of groceries.

Rachel has done so much for so many underrepresented populations in the Fox Valley. Rachel gives so much of herself to her work and her clients.
